During 22/11/2011 to 25/11/2011, Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University co-operated with Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University to manage a seminar with the topic on  “Transformations of the Human Landscape in Southeast Asia”. This seminar held at the Mekong Delta Boutique Hotel, Mae Sai, Thailand.  In addition, Committee members of seminar organized a fieldtrip to visit local people who live around Mekong rever side from 26/11/2011 to 27/11/2011.

The seminar to evaluate for research proposal at the ministerial research projects level on “Basic issues on human rights as well as conditions to ensure implementation for objective of human development in contemporary of Vietnam period 2011-2012”

 In the morning of 24^th , February 2011, hold the speech at the meeting room of Institute of Human Studies by Prof. Steve Johnson. The oral presentation with title “The Role of Community Participation in Sustainable Community Development”

Edited by Pham Thanh Nghi, Assoc.Prof., PhD, the book is research product of a national research project KX-05-11 “Studying and proposing solutions to improve effectiveness of human resources management in the process of industrialization and modernization of the country" belonging to the National Research Program KX-05. The book includes 422 pages published in 2007 by Social Science Publishing House

On the 3/5/2007, The Institute of Human Studies organized a scientific conference “Human Studies for the purpose of human resource development in the period of Doimoi and integration”. The objective of conference was studying basic theoretical and practical issues on human in order to provide scientific foundation for developing stratey and policies on human development and human resource in Vietnam and to provide consultancy and post-graduated training services, and to take part in human resource development for Vietnam.

From 5 December to 21 December, 2006, The Institute of Human Studies in coordination with Pedagogy Department of Hanoi National University organized a training course “Strategic planning for university staffs of Vietnam”. This was an activity of minor project “Consulting service on strategic planning training for university staff of Vietnam”, directed by Pham Thanh Nghi, Assoc.Prof.PhD, within the framework of the Higher Education Project with the sponsorship of World Bank.
